Smeeta- the changing face of Bihar

Smeeta Jalan is the new, young, changing face of Bihar.An young software engineer working at Google, Hyderabad, Smeeta was born and brought up in Bhagalpur. She did her matriculation from St. Joseph’s School, Bhagalpur with 94.33% in EMS and was awarded at school for being the 3rd topper.

Thereafter, she went to DPS R. K. Puram for +2. where she was given the prestigious scholar badge by the then Chief Minister of Delhi Sheila Dixit for her excellent performance in class XI.

Smeeta then did her B.Tech in Information and Technology from IIIT-Allahabad where she received merit scholarship for 3 years for standing first in almost all the semesters.

On August 12th, 2008, she was awarded Gold Medal at the institute by the 2003 Physics Noble Prize winner Anthony James Leggett for holding the highest CGPI (9.73/10) for 4 years of B.Tech.

Smeeta’s talents were recognized by the local newspapers in Allahabad and she was also interviewed by Sahara and other television channels.
