The Topchanchi Wildlife Sanctuary is spread over a area of 8.75 square kilometers. But the this Sanctuary does not look such a huge space still but it manages to show its essence of the wild beasts here. In spite of a small space, the animals living in the Topchanchi Wildlife Sanctuary does not face any problems.
There are a lot number of floras found here in the dense forests of this Wildlife Sanctuary & it really contains a lot differnet kinds of trees which belongs to a differnet category that include Asan, Bijasal, Dhow, Semal, Kendu, Piar, Karam, Siris, Sidha,etc. But some places like Bawardhara & Baneshpur are very dry the type of woods found are conatinas mostly Sal which is the origin of Peninsular.
The Topchanchi Wildlife Sanctuary is situated in the Dhanbad district that is located within the bounds of the Jharkhand. There are many color of grasslands & bamboo trees are found here.
The best time to go to the Topchanchi Wildlife Sanctuary is between October-June. There are many lodges available near this sanctuary for staying & bungalows are also available. The nearest railway station is Gomoh Junction.
