Fantastic plan of Bihar GRP to deal with bandh enforcers

Patna: The Government Railway Police (GRP) in Bihar has mooted a novel idea to deal with bandh call supporters who damage railway properties and disturb running of trains around the state capital.
Perturbed over the recurring incidents of vandalism by supporters involved in bandh calls, the GRP has planned to act as media persons in civil dress to click and shoot the incidents to identify and book them.
“The GRP men, in their new Avtaar, will work as media persons and provide detailed information about bandh supporters to the police headquarters. They will report on the happenings around the railway stations and railway platforms, which come under the jurisdiction of the GRP,” Patna Superintendent of Railway Police (SRP) Vivek Raj Singh said.
We are soon going to assign some young GRP personnel to collect detailed information and substantial evidence against those involved in creating disturbances during bandh, he said.
Singh said the GRP men would work in the manner mediapersons collect information, take snaps and file reports. “Mediamen become part of the crowd and gather information besides taking photos and video recording,” he said, adding that now it would be easier for the department officials to identity the bandh enforcers and take action, if required.
The SRP said that the police would lodge complaint against troublemakers on the basis of information provided by our men. “Thus we can get correct information, come closure to the truth and can initiate legal action against the offenders,” he said.
