Teacher’s son tops Jharkhand administrative services exam

The son of a teacher has topped the Jharkhand Public Service Commission exams while a sweeper has been selected as a deputy superintendent of police, a statement said Monday.

Arvind Kumar Ojha, a resident of Aarah district of Bihar, held the number one position. His father works as a teacher in that state.

Roshan Gudia, who worked as a sweeper in the Simdega district collectorate office, has been selected as a deputy superintendent of police.

The results were announced Sunday night. A total of 175 students have been selected for third JPSC examination, which took place in 2008.

Of the successful candidates, 87 belong to general category, 45 of Scheduled Tribe and 24 to the Other Backward Classes (OBC).
