Rural health and cleanliness committee launched in Bihar

Bihar Health Minister Nand Kishore Yadav flagged off an ambulance service for rural areas in Patna on August 19, 2010.

Speaking on the occasion Nand Kishore Yadav said the state government launched a rural health and cleanliness committee (RHCC) at the panchayat level to take care of health problems. Under the rural health scheme, the RHCC comprising, the auxiliary nurse midwife as its member secretary and ward commissioners of panchayats as members, would spread health awareness among villagers and provide medical facilities to them at their doorsteps, he said.
