R Infra bags power monitoring project for Patna

Reliance Infrastructure has bagged the consultancy contract for supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) relating to power distribution for Patna. The order was awarded to R Infra by the Bihar State Electricity Board.

SCADA, with extensive use of IT, helps power utilities to monitor and control the electrical network as also coordinate maintenance and fault rectification of the electrical distribution systems.

R Infra’s offer for Rs 54 lakh was far lower than the nearest competitor quote of Rs 1.97 crore.

R Infra has already implemented SCADA in its Mumbai and Delhi distribution networks. The company is executing such consultancy projects for 10 cities in Maharashtra, two each in Haryana and Chhattisgarh.
