PATNA: Dr Lal Bahadur Singh has taken over as editor of `The Patna Journal of Medicine’, an official journal of the Indian Medical Association (IMA), Bihar state branch.
State IMA senior vice-president Dr Sahjanand Prasad Singh and secretary Dr Ashok Kumar Yadav said that Dr Singh has been associated with several social organizations, including Rotary International and Indian Red Cross Society.
He was governor of Rotary International Dist. 3250 (Bihar and Jharkhand). During the floods in the state in 2008, he managed relief materials of more than Rs 2 crore through Rotaries of the country.
The IMA office-bearers said that Dr Singh has been working hard for more than 12 years for polio eradication in the states of Bihar and Jharkhand and his efforts in this connection have been appreciated at state, national and even international level, they said
