Bihar bizman wins International Gold Star Millennium Award

Patna: Bihar businessman Mohammed Mokarram Khan, Managing Director, Sunshine Global Agro Limited, has been honored with the ‘International Gold Star Millennium Award’. He received the award from Mr. Korn Dabbaransi, ex-Dy. Prime Minister of Thailand, at the international conference on “Indo-Thai Friendship and Economic Cooperation” held on 30th Jan. 2011 at Bangkok in Thailand.

Mr Khan was invited by the Citizens Integration Peace Society for the award.

Khan’s Sunshine Global Agro Limited operates through 3500 associates in 12 states of India. It was started in 2004 at Purnea in Bihar. Earlier Mr. Khan has received “Indira Gandhi Sadbhavna Award” on 18th Nov.2010 in New Delhi for Outstanding Individual Achievements & Distinguished Services to the Nation.

About 200 delegates participated in the economic cooperation conference in Bangkok. At the conference Mr. Khan suggested how Thailand could get benefit in Bio-fuel sector from India.

Mr. Khan started his company from a remote area in Bihar. It has since grown strength to strength with currently 600 employees from all walks of life. SGAL has its seven subsidiaries in the field of Tea processing, Insurance, Real state, online education, employment in the name Sunshine Global Services. Mr. Khan is a practicing Muslim perhaps rare in the corporate world in India
