Kishanganj gets 3 IIT seats this year

PURNIA: Saket Diwakar, a boy from a nondescript village of Salmari in Katihar district, has cracked this year’s IITJEE. The grandson of late Prithwichand Agrawal, a philanthropist, Saket passed out from Salmari High School and subsequently did his Plus II from RDS College at Salmari. He has been slotted 1,726 in IITJEE.

Three Kishanganj students have come out with flying colours at IITJEE.

Ashray Kumar, son of lawyer Om Kumar, and an alumnus of Kendriya Vidyalaya, Kishanganj, he did his Plus II from Mithila Public School, Bathnaha (Araria).He was ranked 5,535{+t}{+h}. Harshvardhan Gupta, son of a lawyer Ashok Gupta, was placed at 4,258 in the IITJEE list of successful candidates. A student of Navodaya Vidyalaya, Kishanganj, Harshvardhan did his Plus II from Vishakhapatnam. A student of Bal Mandir School in Kishanganj, Anand Jaiswal is another prodigy from Kishanganj who has cracked the IITJEE and is slotted 6,242 and OBC rank 906.

Two students of Bijendra Public School, Purnia, Aman Ankit and Vivek Kumar, have also emerged successful in the IITJEE. They are slotted 3,019th and 7,498th respectively, according to school sources. Still another student, Akash Deep, who did his schooling from Millia Convent English School, Purnia, has succeeded in this year’s IITJEE, according to Sheela Jha of the school.

Akib Javed, son of an Araria lawyer Javed Yasin, who passed his Class X from Navodaya Vidyalaya, Araria, and later did his Plus II from Patna, has come out successfully in the IITJEE and is ranked OBC 660. Shivam Kumar, son of a primary school teacher Chaman Lal of Araria, also cracked IITJEE and was ranked in OBC 880.
