Patna Justice Chandra Mohan Prasad, has sworn in as new Lokayukta of Bihar. A retired judge of Patna high court, Jusrice Prasad took oath as 7th Lokayakuta of Bihar on Thursday at a simple function at Raj Bhawan. Governor Devanand Konwar administered the oath of office and secrecy to Justice Prasad.
Chief minister Nitish Kumar, deputy CM Sushil Kumar Modi, chairman of Bihar Legislative Council Tara Kant Jha, and a host of ministers, besides chief secretary Anup Mukherjee and other senior official were present.
Justice Prasad retired as judge of Patna high court in February this year. He replaced Justice R N Prasad, whose completed his term on Wednesday.
