Bihar Administrative Officers getting e-Literates

Laptop given to Bihar OfficersBihar Administrative Service Officers are busy these days with computer courses with a sole aim to crack the exam of DOEACC. Thanks to CM Nitish Kumar’s trick of free laptop offer, these babus have started being technology savvy.
Under a circular issued by Bihar Government all BAS officers would get a free laptop each worth Rs 60,000 if they have a minimum requisite degree in Computers. Interestingly only 50 out of 1400 BAS officers had the concerned degree. And the rest are busy these days to get a degree from DOEACC.

Exam Alert- Today is the last day for them to apply for the courses.

The project is expected to cost Government a sum of around Rs 6 crore, but has several associated benefits . While it would make the officers more tech-oriented, it would also streamline the computerization of Government Processes. Bihar is first Indian state to adopt such methodology to promote the e-literacy.
