Bihar gets its First Multi National Company


First Multi National Company in Bihar is about to establish itself. First brewery Molson-Coors-Cobra brand of beer would be setup in the outskirts of Patna. It is lead by Lord Karan Bilimoria who is visiting India as a participant of the Pravasi Bharatiya Diwas in Jaipur. The First Board meeting of Molson-Coors-Cobra joint venture will take place next week in Patna

Statistics suggest that the Beer Consumption in Bihar has grown by 1000 percent in past 5 years. Now approximately 70 lakhs cases of Beer is sold every year compared to merely 7 lakh in 2006.

On being intrigued why he is so keen to setup a Beer Factory in Bihar he said,”It is all about the governance and leadership of Nitish Kumar. Crime figures have reduced six times in the last six years. GDP growth of Bihar is higher than India’s aggregate. It’s the only state to have passed the Right to Public Services Act,”

Lord Bilimoria is very excited about his first venture in Bihar and is also suggesting other Industrialists to follow him. He is also attending the Pravasi Bharatiya Diwas organized by Bihar Government in February. Apart from him Lord Meghnad Desai would also be attending.

He is also the FIrst Parsi to enter the House of Lords. He was born in Hyderabad and received his education in Ooty.Later he graduated in law from Sidney Sussex College, University of Cambridge in 1988.
