Buddhist Circuit is in the official radar of Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, and this is why he recently started a Mega Project for developing the Tourists sites of Buddha’s heritage and turning it to a truely world class.
He has asked concerned officials to go ahead to develop the Buddhist circuit in the state.He also directed to identify undiscovered places associated with Buddha in this Buddhist circuit.
A team of experts would be constituted to study and identify undiscovered places associated with Buddha. “All these places would be developed.
Additionally the places in Buddhist Circuit would be accompanied by world class road networks, construction of modern budget and higher-end hotels, facilitating direct rail links and air services to Bodh Gaya, Rajgir and Vaishali.
“The main focus will be to link Bodh Gaya, the seat of Buddha’s enlightenment, to other historic sites related to his life. To begin with, the roads from Bodh Gaya to Rajgir to Nalanda to Vaishali will be world class,” an official said.
