AIEEE 2012 Results declared by CBSE today

AIEEE 2012CBSE has declared the results of All India Engineering Entrance Examination , AIEEE 2012 today. The results has been delayed for more than 10 days.

Sanjeet Patri from Delhi  is the Topper of AIEEE 2012 Examination with scoring 346 out of 360. Among girls,Mansee Sood topped with AIR 6 with a score of 336 out of 360. The IIT JEE all India topper secured the ninth rank in AIEEE 2012.

The declaration of the results has come as a breather for 11 lakh students who have appeared for this AIEEE this year to secure a seat in some prestigious engineering colleges including NITs.

The cut-off marks for various categories in AIEEE 2012 is as follows

1.General -48 marks

2.OBC-45 marks

3.SC/ST -18 marks

4.Physically Handicapped –18 marks

This year, the candidates of General category, OBC category, SC/ST category and Physically Handicapped candidates of all categories who obtained 48 marks, 45 marks, 18 marks and 18 marks respectively are declared eligible to fill in their choices for online counselling for B.E/B.Tech. and B.Arch/B.Planning which will be conducted by the Central Counselling Board-2012.

This year for the first time AIEEE  was conducted both Online and offline. While Offline test was held on April 29 the  online exams were conducted between May 7- May 26.

After the paper leak in 2011 the board is strict this time and none of the examination has unfavourable conditions or any kind of discomfort zone.

This year 1053807 candidates appeared, out of 11,14,541 candidates registered, for the examination at 1685 centres located in 86 cities.

Approximately, 34311 seats for BE/B.Tech & 1070 seats for B.Arch/B.Planning in various institutions, namely National Institutes of Technology, IIITs, Deemed Universities, Technical Institutions, Delhi Technological University, Delhi and other Govt. funded Institutions will be offered through this examination.

A centralized online counselling will be organized for filling up the All India seats by the Central Counselling Board. The States/Institutes listed below will also use AIEEE-2012 ranks to fill seats through their own counselling:- West Bengal, Himachal Pradesh, Haryana, Uttarakhand, Punjab University, Chandigarh, Punjab Engineering College, Chandigarh, Delhi Technological University, Delhi and N.S.I.T, Delhi under Delhi University.
