Jackie Shroff plans to sue for his alleged Polio ad Video

Jackie ShroffVeteran Actor Jackie Shroff, who is right now shooting for Dirty Politics with Atul Kulkarni, Om Puri, Anupam Kher and Ashutosh Rana has decided to initiate legal action against those responsible for online release of  a 15 Year-Old clip during Shooting of a Polio Ad Campaign,  which showed him speaking abusive words in the name of Mother, and Aunt.

Jackie questions the reason why video was leaked now. “Why after so many years? It’s mischievous and uncalled-for. Friends have advised me to sue. I don’t know how internet crimes are dealt with. I’m going to consult my lawyers as soon as I return to Mumbai.”
He recalls the incident “I remember we were working under very taxing conditions to shoot this social awareness campaign for polio. I wasn’t getting my lines right, so I got annoyed. And I let loose some colourful language. I do that when my work goes wrong. When I was dubbing for Vidhu Vinod Chopra’s Parinda, Sanjay Leea Bhansali was an assistant. I used the same aunt expletive. Bhansali was aghast. He asked Vinod what I meant. But no offence meant. And no apologies offered”.

“However, If you use my face and words to create an unnecessary tamasha it’s time for me to take action. Otherwise ten other people may be encouraged to behave badly with me.”

The video was uploaded laste week by some unknown users on Youtube, which created furore over Internet.

This was the reaction of People on Twitter about the Ad Video

Earlier he defended his action, “Arey, logon ko kaam dhanda nahin hai kya? I am terribly miffed with this mischief monger, who has made this public. What one needs to understand is that we relieve our stress before starting work. In fact, we even take breaks in between to de-stress. People de-stress in different ways. What’s wrong if I was in one of those bindaas moods? You don’t have to take all that stuff, which wasn’t supposed to be in the ad, so seriously. The video you’ve been seeing online since Tuesday is the canning of almost the entire proceedings of that shoot. And it’s not rocket science to understand that.”

“I certainly don’t mind masti mazaak and have a great sense of humour. But this video going online in its unedited version is something which is in very bad taste. Even as we speak, I am off to Rajasthan for work and I would appreciate if people get on with their own lives instead of making fun of senior actors and noble causes,” he said.
