How Kanda made life hell for Geetika Sharma ?

Geetika SharmaDelhi Police has revealed how Gopal Kanda made life hell for Geetika Sharma. He followed her to Dubai where she had received a fake letter about extradition proceedings initiated against her.

Police said when Geetika refused to come back, Kanda got a false case registered against her and allegedly sent a letter to her about extradition proceedings initiated against her.

Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate D K Jangala, who remanded Kanda to seven days in police custody, was told by the police that they have found that the letter sent to Geetika about the extradition proceedings against her in Dubai was fake as no such proceedings were ever initiated.

Public Prosecutor Rajiv Mohan told the court the mail sent to Geetika had mentioned that she had taken Rs 5,000 from one Sheikh Bhasir Ali Bhoram who was purportedly associated with Emirates Airlines in which Geetika had joined as an employee.  Sheikh Bhasir Al Bhoram  had threatened to extradite Geetika in connection with the loan-default case. This mail was apparently sent on October 1, 2010.

He, however, said that after investigation, they have come to know that no such person that is Ali Bashir ever worked with Emirates.

When Geetika was out, they created fake email IDs and made her believe that Emirates people had sent the mails. Both the email addresses were fake. She was harassed into believing that there was a case against her. The mails were carefully written and appeared to be genuine. They also attached forged letters from the Consul-General of India in Dubai to make her believe that she would be extradited,” Geetika’s uncle Sushil Kumar alleged.

Geetika’s mother Anuradha  also alleged that she received a threatening call from Kanda’s mobile phone on Saturday evening. “Kanda told me over the phone that if my daughter did not join work, he would get a false case registered against us in Haryana. Since that phone call my daughter was depressed and told us that she wanted to be alone,” Anuradha said.

Police also said they are looking into the details of Kanda’s travel to Dubai, when Geetika was there, and his meetings with her there.

The prosecutor also said that the letter by which Geetika was appointed as Director in MDLR group was written on a plain paper.

Police sources say that her appointment letter had a clause that said she had to the meet the managing director (Kanda) every day after 5 pm. The police is also going through 400 pages of SMSes sent by Kanda to Geetika. They have also informed the court that Kanda had tampered with evidence at his office.

Geetika had joined MDLR as an air hostess in 2006. After the airline became defunct, she was made director of a subsidiary company owned by Kanda. Geetika was also a trustee of the MDK International School run by Kanda. Later on, she quit the company after which she and her family members started getting threatening calls.
