When Hema Malini Fell in Love with Dharmendra First Time

 Veteran actress Hema Malini opened up about her first meeting with husband-actor Dharmendra during an appearance on music reality show “Indian Idol 6″.

During the shoot Hema, who was accompanied by Dharmendra, revealed that she first saw the legendary actor while he was shooting for the movie “Baharein Phir Bhi Aayengi” and immediately fell for him.

She also feels that Dharmendra is the original dancer of Bollywood and everybody copies his signature steps.

She was all praise for Dharmendra and called him “King Of Romance”.

She eventually married him in 1980. Before they married, they both converted to Islam, since Dharmendra was already married to Prakash Kaur  who refused to divorce him.

After her marriage she became the step-mother of Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol,

The couple has two daughters, Isha ad Ahana. Esha is a well-known actress in Bollywood while her younger daughter Ahana is an aspiring director who worked as an assistant director to Sanjay Leela Bhansali in his film Guzarish (2010) which starred Hrithik Roshan and Aishwarya Rai.
