Former president A.P.J. Abdul Kalam has advised youngsters to spend some time of their lives in villages and take interest in the rural clusters’ development.

He urged students and staff of the Lucknow Christian Degree College to select a rural complex comprising of about 50 villages with a population of around one lakh in the neighbourhood of the college and transform it into a dynamic, economically viable, ethically rich Providing Urban Amenities in Rural Areas (PURA) complex.

At a function at National Botanical Research Institute, Kalam asked the new generation to be creative.
