Bihar has been the destination of over One Million Foreign Tourists in the year 2012. The State derives most of its Tourists from Buddhists Countries like Japan, Mynamar, Thailand, Sri Lanka, China etc.
As per Central Government data 9.72 Lakhs Foreign Tourists visited Bihar in 2011. In  2012 the number is likely to cross 10 Lakhs (1 Millions) or even more
“I am fully confident that the number of foreign tourists in Bihar would cross one million in 2012,” Tourism Minister Sunil Kumar Pintu told newspersons at Patna.
As per 2011 Data about 6 Millions total tourists visit Bihar every year. In terms of share, Bihar stands ahead of states like Kerala and Himachal Pradesh in the number of Foreign Tourists visit.
