Why did Sachin Tendulkar retire from One Day Cricket now ?

Cricket Legend Sachin Tendulkar has announced his retirement from One Day Cricket putting an end to all speculation that prevailed over past 5 years.

But the real question is why did he choose this time to retire? Was he forced to make a decision amid chances of being dropped off from Pakistan Series.

Few days back it was reported that Sachin wished to play with Pakistan in the upcoming Series.

Sachin expressed his intentions to play in the ODI series against Pakistan and England and the selectors were willing to go by his plans, Headlines Today reported, quoting an unnamed source for the story.

Tendulkar has not played in too many ODI series since India’s World Cup triumph in April last year. It said that Sachin wanted to play in the ODIs to regain form ahead of the high-profile Test series against Australia in February-March next year.

The performance of Sachin in last Series against was worst ever having made only 18.4 runs on Average. This might have forced Sachin to take a quick decision.

Earlier it was contemplated that Sachin would announce his retirement in Niovember. On hearing the news, there was a mass uproar in the online World about his retirement. Now that he actually retired from ODI, not sure how Online World would handle the brawl.
