IIT Patna makes several innovations in the Field of Medical Sciences

Patna: Indian Institute of Technology, Patna in collaboration with National Institute of Medical Science has made some astonishing inventions in the field of Medical Sciences and Family Planning.

It has developed a Temporary Sterilization Injection which once applied can prevent the Child Birth for a period of 10 year. A Team from  IIT Kharagpur is also contributing to the project.

It is also developing an Artificial Heart which can remain functional for 5 years and can be implanted in patients in a short surgery of one hour only. The Artificial Heart is presently being tested  upon animals.

The information about these latest innovations was revealed by Dr Sujoy Guha of IT Kharagpur at a seminar organized by Aryabhatta Knowledge University(AKU).

Dr. Sambhunath Guha, the VC of AKU declared the plans to University to start Post Graduate  and Doctoral Programs in the field of Nano Technology.
