International Conclave on Innovation begins at BIT Patna

Patna: An International Conclave on Innovation in Engineering and Management (ICIEM 2013) was started today at Birla Institute of Technology, Patna. IIT Kharagpur Director, Dr. S K Som officially inaugurated the Conclave.

The Two-Day Conclave would witness the participation of around 850 students from 75 colleges and 25 universities across the country. It will also have several keynote Speakers from International Universities Prof Venu Govindaraju: University at Buffalo (SUNY Buffalo), Dr. Satyendra Singh (Faculty of Business and Economics, Winnipeg, Canada, Kun-Huang Huarng, Professor of International Trade, Feng Chia University, Taiwan, Lecturer, Dr. Lee Chung, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore.

Earlier, BIT Patna director S.L. Gupta said: “This is the first time that BIT Patna would organise such an event, where scholars from various countries will take part in technical and managerial events.”

ICIEM 2013 is an initiative to bring together the innovative faculty/researchers pursuing the doctoral program to share their research ideas.

Other events that would feature in programme are presentation of doctoral thesis, papers and articles by students, business plans, posters and case studies, seminar on grooming freshers for the corporate world and a conference on quality education in business schools.

The events would provide a platform to scholars for presenting their work in front of eminent jury members.

The doctoral thesis presentation explores knowledge in the field of study, embodies the results of original investigation and analysis. In the paper/article presentation, students will present papers on the advances made in various fields of technology and management.

The main objective of the conclave is to get corporate professionals, academicians, research scholars and students together on a single platform for in-depth discussions on themes in the areas of computer science, IT, ECE, EEE & management. The conclave will provide a forum to research scholars, engineering and management students for sharing their work through the doctoral research paper competition, case study competition and study students’ research paper competition.
