ISKON Rath Yatra at Gurgaon to be live telecast Worldwide

Gurgaon: The Famous  13th ISKCON Ratha Yatra of Lord Jagannath, Balbhadra and Subhadra at Gurgaon,  by the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) will be telecast live worldwide.

The 13th grand ‘Ratha Yatra’ will start from new Anaj Mandi at sector 10 here Saturday morning and would conclude at the Haryana Urban Development Authority (HUDA) gymkhana at sector 29.

It will cover nearly eight km followed by cultural functions, said a member of the organising committee.

Reality show ‘India’s Got Talent’ fame Madhava’s Sankirtan rock band would be one of the main attractions.

“A nearly 45 feet long, 10 feet wide stage has been prepared on an open truck for the band, which will perform vedic mantras on western instruments,” Achyut Hari Das, chief coordinator of Gurgaon ISKCON centre, told IANS.

He said: “For the first time large and big LED screens would be installed in various parts of the city, including in the HUDA city centre Metro station and near DT Mall on Mehrauli-Gurgaon (MG) road.

“The live telecast of the Yatra would be also available worldwide by ISKCON’s media company based at Mayapur headquarter in Kolkata.”
