Nalanda Open University to setup Study Center in Nepal

Nalanda Open University, Patna  is planning to go International with setting up a study Center in Nepal. Newly appointed Vice Chancellor of NOU, Dr. Tapan Kumar Shandilya declared that the University plans to expand its horizons and plans are being shaped to setup Study Centers in various places of North Eastern India and Nepal.

After assuming the Office, he also promised to enhance the Quality of Education at present  Study Centers.

The Nalanda Open University is the only University in the State of Bihar meant for imparting learning exclusively through the system of distance education. It was established in March, 1987  is also recognized by Distance Education Council, IGNOU since 1997. At present it  is functioning from its camp office at Biscomaun Bhawan, near Gandhi Maidan, Patna.

The University is recognised by the Distance Education Council (DEC), University Grants Commission, and Ministry of HRD, Government of India for imparting education through distance mode.

Nalanda Open University Degree/Diploma /Certificates are eligible for higher studies, public & private sector employment and service promotions.
