Anna Hazare to begin Jantantra Yatra with Jallianwala Bagh Rally

Veteran Social Activist Anna Hazare would kick start his historic Jantantra Yatra with a public rally at Jallianwalan Bagh  in Punjab tomorrow. He would address two more rallies after the Jalian Wallah Bagh rally.

In total, he would address 8 rallies during this week. Hazare would start first phase of his yatra from Amritsar after paying obeisance at Durgiana Mandir, Harmandir Saheb and Ramtirath temple. He will address public rally at the Jallianwalan Bagh tomorrow 31 followed by two more public rallies at Kapurthala and Jalandhar on the same day.

The Jantantra Yatra, will also cover Punjab, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh in next 18 days.

Anna Hazare started his Jantantra Morcha from a massive rally in Patna, Bihar in January.  This would be the first rally of Jantantra Morcha since its inception. Former Army Chief General V K Singh and IPS Officer Kiran Bedi would be the deputies of Anna this time.

Speaking about the Jantantra Yatra, Anna said, “This is a set-up that will not join any political party or fight elections or come to power”. “The disruption being caused in Parliament is because of the selfish interest of political parties….. change of government will not help, entire system has to change”.
