British Tourist in Agra fractures Leg in a bid to escape Sexual Assault

Agra: A 25 Year old British Tourist suffered Leg Fracture when she jumped off her Hotel Room in Agra in an attempt to escape a Molestation or possibly a Sexual Assault.

According to the Girl, a Man entered her Hotel Room, on pretext of giving her Oil Massage  and tried to sexually assault her. To escape, eh sjumped out of her hotel room through window leading to a fracture in Leg Bones. She is presently admitted to Agra District Hospital while the Manager of Hotel has been arrested by Police

In the aftermath of the incident, the UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) has reviewed its travel advisory for women travellers to India, while making a reference to the gang-rape of a 39-year-old Swiss tourist in Madhya Pradesh on March 16.

“We are aware of an incident involving a British national in Agra, India, and are urgently looking into it. We are in contact with local authorities and are providing consular assistance to the woman,” an FCO spokesperson said in London.

It said, “Women travellers should exercise caution when travelling in India even if they are travelling in a group.”
