CISF opens Intelligence Training School for its Personnel at Ghaziabad

Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) has today started it’s first intelligence school to enhance the efficiency of its personnel.

The school was inaugurated at the 5th Reserve Battalion Campus in Uttar Pradesh’s Ghaziabad in the presence of Minister of State for Home Affairs Minister R.P.N. Singh to train CISF officers belonging to it’s Crime and Intelligence Wing (CIW) on a regular basis.

Presently around 1,250 personnel have been deployed across the country in the CIW.

“The ministry will provide proper facility to CISF for the growth of it’s new initiative for enhancing the skills of CISF’s Crime and Intelligence Wing officials,” said Singh while inaugurating the school.

“To sharpen and enhance the skills of CISF’s Crime and Intelligence Wing, it was a long felt need to provide specialized training in the field of intelligence,” said Rajiv, director general (CISF).

Explaining about the functionary of the training school, Rajiv said that the school will be headed by a commandant and deputy commandant rank official and supported by an experienced faculty.

“To provide specialized training, we will also associate the faculties of other agencies like Intelligence Bureau (IB), Border Security Force (BSF), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and State Police especially in the initial stage of capacity building which presently we are doing,” he said.

In it’s one or two week’s course duration, the school will train CISF’s sub officers and other ranks deployed in CIW, Rajiv added.
