Ghats of Patna to be renovated into Tourist Spots under River Front Development Program

Patna: Bihar Government has undertaken massive River Front Development Program on the bank of River Ganga.  Under this scheme, almost 20 designated Ghats in Patna would be developed to spur Tourist Activities in these places. The 6.5 km stretch between Collectariat  Ghat and Nozar Ghat would be developed into a Tourist Spots.  Collectariat  Ghat is one of the famous ghat of Patna It is situated towards the Northern part of Gandhi Maidan.

Gandhi Ghat of Patna is situated behind the NIT campus off the Ashok Rajpath. Regular Ganga Aarti takes place here

Two Big entertainment Parks would be established at Patna College Ghat and Gaighat at at expense of Rs 8.16 crores. Collectariat  Ghat would have a Community cum Eco Centers while, Bhadra Ghat would have Community cum Cultural Center.

Additionally, a Dolphin Research Center is likely to come up in addition to an Audio Video Theater at Gandhi Ghat Patna.

Gandhi ghat is situated behind the NIT campus off the Ashok Rajpath. The Ghat has been renovated recently and it has quotation inscribed which reminds of the Mahatma Gandhi. During evening on  weekends , Ganga Aarti takes place here , which is attended by lots of people.

The Entire Project is budgeted to be around Rs 262 Crores which would be funded by State and Union Government jointly.  These plans were revealed by Urban Development Minister Prem Kumar.
