Surgery Facility to be started at 149 Govt Hospitals of Bihar

Patna: State Health Department of Bihar is planning to achieve a major milestone in the Health Sector. The Facility of Major Surgeries is being made available to at least 149 Government run hospitals in the state. These Hospitals would be referred to as the First Referral Units for any complications.

These Hospitals would facilitate operations ranging from Minor Surgeries to Cesarean.  However Emergency Patients would be shifted to major Hospitals at Patna, Darbhanga, Muzaffarpur and Bhagalpur.

According to Govt Sources, these Hospitals would have 24×7 Surgery Facility and would be equipped with Radiological and Pathological Facility. The Government has spent over 15 Crores in these arrangements.

A List of Hospitals where these facilities would be available are

Patna: Guru Gobind Singh Hospital, Patna City Hospital, Govt Hospitals at Danapur, Barh,  Bihta,Masaudhi,  Mokama, Naubatpur and Paliganj

Bhagalpur: Sadar Hospital, Hospital at Naugachhia, Kahalgaon, Nathnagar, Sultanganj and Pirpanty.

Vaishali: Sadar Hospital, Govt Hospitals at Mahua, Lalganj Raghopur and Garol.

Gaya: Sadar Hospital, Govt Hospitals at Sherghati, Tekari, Dumariyan and Lady Eligan Hospital.

Purnea: Sadar Hospital, Govt Hospitals at Dhamdhaha, Banmankhi, Amror and Rupauli.

Muzaffarpur: Sadar Hospital, Govt Hospital Sakra.

Munger: Sadar Hospital, Govt Hospital at Tarapur.

Madhubani: Sadar Hospital, Govt Hospitals at Jhanjharpur, Jainagar, Phulparas, Pandol, Madhepur and Andhrathadhi.
