Congress to return to power in Karnataka reveal Opinion Polls

A Survey conducted by Centre for Forecasting & Research shows that Congress would be back to power in Karnataka by winning about 115 Seats in the 2013 Assembly elections. It also predicted that BJP would be getting 58 seats, while JD (S ) would be getting 31 seats and Yediyurappa’s KJP would be getting around 14 Seats.

This is the result of an independent survey, not of any Exit Poll. Election Commission of India has banned publication of the results of any exit polls, by its order dated April 5.  It also banned the publication of any opinion polls during the 48 hours period before Election day on May 5.

This Survey was conducted   in 158 towns and 658 rural places with opinions from 10,279 voters around Karnataka. The survey includes men and women from all castes, religions and age groups.

The Surbey also predicted that out 224 sitting MLAs, only 85 MLAs are expected to be re-elected this time.

It also says that Siddaramaiah is expected to be the next CM of Karnataka
