Students across nation today appear for Paper based JEE (Main) 2013 for entrance to various engineering colleges in the country. Around 14 Lakh students have applied for the JEE Main Examination, a majority of whom would opt for pen and paper based test. The Online Examination for the same would commence from April 9. As an estimate around 9 Lakhs student would be writing the paper based examination while rest 5 lakhs would be opting for Computer based Test of JEE (Main).
The IIT JEE and AIEEE examinations have been merged together to form the JEE. Top 1.5 Lakh candidates of JEE Main would be allowed to appear in JEE (Adanced) to be conducted by IITs separately for entrance to various courses offered by them.
