China preparing for another war with India

The way China is increasing its activities in Indian territories gives a clear indication that the dragon is ready to open fire. The Chinese troops have refused to cease their activities at  Daulat Beg Oldie (DBO) sector where they have pitched their five tents and are getting regular supplies through trucks.

The Chinese side was patrolling the DBO sector, 19 KMs deep into Indian territory, refusing to end the face-off which has entered the third week. After the failed Brigadier-level meeting on Tuesday at Chashool, Indian side stepped up vigil in the area through Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) while its troops reported that supplies to the Chinese forces were being replenished through a convoy of trucks.

Nearly 40 PLA personnel are stationed in five tents in the area which is 70 KMs South of Burtse of DBO sector. During yesterday’s meeting, the Chinese side maintained that DBO was well in their territory and that the Indian side should leave its claim about the area.

The Indian side, however, continued to press that this was in violation of the border agreement asking the PLA officials to withdraw from the area. The Chinese side insisted that India dismantle bunkers constructed along Line of Actual Control in Phuktsay and Chumar areas.

The Indian side informed that all developmental works, construction of bunkers and road has been stopped in area and asked the Chinese side for an “unconditional withdrawal of Chinese troops from the Indian territory as per the agreements signed between the two sides on earlier occasions.” The Indian side, during the meeting yesterday, had also mentioned the contruction activities on the Chinese side in Phuktsay area.

The Chinese side said the issue would be taken up at the higher level and they would revert soon. Meanwhile, local people i Ladakh area have been found to be resentful towards, what they call, the lenient posture of Indian authorities.
