The well planned Plot by Pakistan to kill Sarabjit Singh

“Sarabjit Singh was brain dead two days ago. Medically it means he was dead. There was absolutely no chance of him ever recovering. The medical authorities had just kept him on the ventilator to give the impression that he was alive, and continue the drama. The family of Sarabjit saw him breathing and assumed that he is alive. No wonder the Pakistani doctors did not want to operate on him” says a Pakistani national.

Sarabjit was Death Row convict and his sentencing was delayed due to political conflicts. The incumbent PPP Government delayed his hanging for infinite period since 2008.  The Government in Pakistan lacked a political will to decide over his fate.

Ever since Ajmal Kasab and Afzal Guru were hanged, there was a resentment in Pakistan over keeping him alive. A normal hanging could have strained Indo-Pak Relationship. Thus, Pakistani Authorities hatched this high profile drama.

Two other Death Row convicts Amir Tanba and Mudasir were selected to execute this task. On Friday afternoon when he was outside his cell for a routine walk along with other inmates the attack was executed. Even Security Guards present on the spot did nothing to protect him. They were armed but none of them hit any fire. The prisoners assaulted Singh with bricks and other blunt weapons and left him seriously injured.

On being heavily injured, he was sent to the MA Jinnah Hospital, but no credibility can be warranted towards their willingness to treat Sarabjit well. Some even say that they refused to operate on Sarabjit.  All efforts to transfer him to some other country for better treatment were rejected by Pak Authorities. It can be invariantly argued that the Medical Facilities at India is far better than that in Pakistan.

Even Diplomats from Indian high commission in Islamabad were not allowed to visit Singh in hospital. His Family was not allowed to be alongside him even at the hours of Death. Sarabjit’s sister Dalbir Kaur alleged that he was killed because of elections in Pakistan.
