RITES Ltd has grabbed the contract to prepare the Detailed Project Report for the construction of Patna Metro Rail. Government of Bihar would pay Rs 2.25 Crores for this purpose.
The Company would prepare the Route Map, propose the List of Stoppages and provide consulting over the purchase of Coaches.
The Government is in mood to kick start the Metro Rail Service in Patna latest by 2016.
As per Reports, almost 50 km of track would be laid connecting Gandhi Maidan, Boring Road and Danapur and allied areas. As per estimated cost, almost Rs 200 Crores would be spent on per kilometer track.
