Patna: The High court in Patna has put a stay on the construction of apartments on the bank of river Ganges. Â A bench of Justice headed by Chief Justice Rekha M Doshit has passed this order.
The Bench was hearing a case filed by the Builders Association against the Patna Municipal Corporation (PMC), which had put the construction of 9 apartments on near the bank of River Ganga on hold since January 2012.
The Builders Association challenged the decision in Patna high court and the initial verdict given by Single Bench was in its favor. However PMC filed a LPA at the Double Bench and got a stay order on the Construction of Apartments near the bank.
The following apartments would be affected by this decision of Patna High Court: Â Meenakshi Apartment,Badri Villa, Durga Marine Drive, Brajnandan Apartment, Riverside Eagle Apartment, Royal Residency, Saraswati Chandra Complex, and GM Tower.
