Howrah: A National Level Girl Swimmer was molested in broad daylight at Bally in Howrah district of West Bengal.
According to the Police Reports, the swimmer girl was stopped this morning when she was going on a bicycle to her teacher’s house at Bally town.
The man named Arindam Makhal taunted and tried to molest her. Locals gathered as the Girl shouted, and they caught him on the spot and handed him over to the cops.
“We have arrested a youth who allegedly tried to molest a woman who is a national-level swimmer,” said Commissioner of Police (Howrah) A.M. Ranade.
He later confessed to the police that his friend had placed a bet with him that Makhal would get money if he could taunt the girl and molest her, police said.
