Model Arshi Khan crowned Miss Glory of Earth 2014

New Delhi: Model and actress Arshi Khan was crowned Miss Glory Earth 2014 at an event held at the YWCA in Delhi last week. Also present at the event were participants from various cities and countries including Finland, Paris, etc.
Arshi Khan was born in Afghanistan but came to India when she was just 4 years old as her parents migrated back in India to Bhopal.  She finished her school and college in Bhopal itself, and was attracted towards theater since her early childhood. Acting brought her to Mumbai where she bagged many assignments in a short span of six months.
She was introduced to the famous stage personality Janaab Ehsaan Chishti, a famous theater director  in Bhopal. Says Arshi, “Ehsaan ji thought that I have a attractive face and figure and if I try I can possibly make it as an actor.” He used to instigate me, and it was at Ehsaan ji’s provocation that I started acting in various dramas in Bhopal city. I started get offers for modeling, and that’s how got assignments for modeling for “Madame”, “Diesel Genes”, “Pepe Jeans”, “Agarwal Jewelers” and many more.” She simultaneously got a break in a Tamil Film “Malli Mishtu” where she played the lead role opposite Tamil Star Naresh.
According to a report by content agency Newz66.com, Arshi Khan was recently selected and crowned Miss Maharashtra Global Tourism – as part of the ongoing Miss Maharashtra King & Queen 2014 Pageant. She will represent the State of Maharashtra at the Global Tourism glam event and conference – Miss Global Tourism 2014 to be held in May. She will also be seen at the Miss Tourism Universe pageant to be held in Singapore later this year.
Metock from Tibet won the title of Miss Glory of Universe 2014. Metock has in fact been in China’s jail and suffered alleged atrocities at the hands of the Chinese establishment. After winning the show she said she was committed to work for Tibetan peace and for the other prisoners in China’s jails. Shanu Pandey from Kanpur won the Miss Glory of World 2014 title and Pratiksha Chaturvedi from Allahabad got the Miss Glory of Asia 2014.
Unique Rose from Paris was the chief guest and one of the judges of the show.  She was presented with a special award ‘World Peace Ambassador of the World Tibet Congress’ during the event.
Miss Finland Maria performed a beautiful Indian dance and was also the other judge at the event. All the winners have committed to work for peace in Tibet throughout the world with the World Tibet Congress.
Speaking to Newz66.com, Arshi Khan said, “It is a proud privilege to be crowned Miss Glory Earth 2014. I am happy to be associated with the Justice for Tibet movement a cause which His Holiness the Dalai Lama has always prayed for.”
