Wolfmother bandmates enjoy upma and curries in India

New Delhi:  Members of Grammy Award winning Australian hard rock band Wolfmother, songs of which have featured in movies like “The Hangover and “Shrek The Third”, are on their maiden visit to India. They are loving the experience and gorging on “upma and curries”.

Wolfmother consists of Andrew Stockdale, Ian Peres and Vin Steele.

“We want no English breakfast while we are here, we are loving the upma (a thick porridge made of dry roasted semolina) and the lentils,” Stockdale, the band’s founder, vocalist and guitarist, told IANS.

“We are enjoying the curries here three times a day,” he added over phone from Mumbai.

The trio, who has been brought here by international music and entertainment channel Vh1, performed in the country’s entertainment capital Wednesday. In Delhi, they will perform at the Hard Rock Cafe Friday.

“We are excited about playing all our classic songs during our performance in Delhi,” said Stockdale, who has heard of Indian rock band Indian Ocean.

Wolfmother has given a slew of hit songs like “Joker and the Thief”, “Woman”, “White Unicorn”, “Dimension” and “New Moon Rising”.
