CBI takes charge of Badaun rape case, probe begins

New Delhi, June 12 (ANI): The CBI has filed an FIR and taken over the probe in Badaun rape case where two Dalit girls were found hanging from a tree in their village. CBI Director Ranjit Sinha said that Government of India has handed over the case to CBI and it will soon begin probe. Meanwhile, CBI Spokesperson Kanchan Prasad stated that an FIR has been filed in the case and a team of 20 officials will leave for Badaun on Friday to begin investigations.
