Srinidhi Prabhu has topped the JEE Main 2014 Examination conducted by CBSE, New Delhi for admission into various premier Engineering Colleges across the country. He has secured All India Rank 1 in the Examination conducted in April 2014 spanned over several days.

From what we have learnt. Srinidhi is  a student of Narayana PU College at C V Raman Nagar, Bangalore. He also topped Karnataka CET (Engineering) 2014, scoring 174 out of 180 marks, the results of which were announced in May 2014.
He hails from Udupi district of Karnataka. His father Shashidhar Prabhu is the Finance Head at Indian Academy of Science, Bangalore while his mother Shobha S Prabhu works as a scientist at DRDO Bangalore.
Coincidentally, Srinidhi was selected for JEE Advanced 2014 and has secured AIR 133 in the same. He has been allotted Computer Science at Indian Institute of Technology, Madras.
Surprisingly, Rajasthan’s Chitrang Murdia, who topped  JEE (Advanced) 2014 could secure AIR 38 in JEE Main 2014. The Ranks of JEE Main are declared only after that of JEE Advanced.
The ranking in JEE Main is based on the weighted average of  JEE Main scores (worth 60% weightage) and the marks in Class 12 (or equivalent)  Examination, which counts for 40% weightage.
