IIM Gaya to start its first academic session from 2015

Gaya: The most awaited Indian Institute of Management of Bihar would start its academic session from 2015, as per sources. The elite B-School would have its temporary campus on the premises of Magadh University Bodh Gaya.

The Admission to its Post Graduate Management program (PGDBA) would be done through CAT 2015, to be conducted by IIMs starting from this month.

While the decision over choice of location is yet to be finalized, reports suggest that Bihar Government has identified and proposed a 100 Acre land at Gaya for setting up the IIM Campus.

Gaya emerged as a natural choice for setting up of IIM as it has a fully operational International Airport, besides being a tourist hub. The Gaya Airport is nearly four times bigger as compared to Patna Airport. It also has a good Rail as well as Road connectivity. The NH2, which is a part of Golden quadrilateral, also passes through Gaya.
