Kejriwal was about to file his nomination papers yesterday, but could not do so as he got late in reaching the office. BJP’s Nupur Sharma would be contesting against Kejriwal from the constituency. Last year he defeated 3 time incumbent Sheila Dixit from this constituency, by winning over a huge margin.

On Tuesday, Kejriwal led a big road show, asking people to join him on his journey towards filing the papers. He also sought blessings from his mother at home before beginning the 4 km long road show.

He also addressed a public meeting in Krishna Nagar constituency of New Delhi from where BJP’s Chief Ministerial candidate Kiran Bedi is contesting elections. Kejriwal hit at BJP for making false promises to the people and said that BJP is left with no agenda for development of capital and is only focusing at defeating Aam Aadmi Party.

He said that BJP has realized its defeat in Delhi which is why they projected Kiran Bedi to put the blame on. He further said that he still holds his statement of taking money from all parties but giving vote only to AAP

The elections for the 70-member Delhi Assembly will be held in a single phase on February 7, with the counting of votes set to take place on February 10.
