Jamtara (Jharkhand): Just three days before when Rajdeep Kumar from Jamtara district of Jharkhand was to be conferred National Bravery Award on January 24th in New Delhi, Sanjeet Marandi, another youngster from the same village, claimed that he saved the life of three children not Rajdeep.
Dispute for National Bravery Award
On October 13, 2013 Rajdeep reportedly saved lives of 3 children who were drowning in a local pond during immersion of idols following Lakshmi puja in Jamtara. For his bravery, Rajdeep was felicitated by various social organisations and district administration for his bravery.
He was also selected as the brand icon of the district administration for Lok Sabha polls in Jamtara district.
