After the launch of a mobile application ‘Himmat’, the Delhi Police on Wednesday launched the ‘Himmat’ Whatsapp and Hike Group for women safety.
Delhi Police Commissioner BS Bassi said that the WhatsApp group will prove helpful to women who use public transport on a regular basis. Reportedly, around 27,000 people have downloaded the ‘Himmat’ app in just one month.
Himmat, the mobile-phone based application for safety of women in New Delhi was launched on January 01 in collaboration with the Delhi police.
