In an exclusive to nnis, apart from speaking on various matters that concerns farmers, Secretary of the Bharatiya Kisan Sangh has said that Anna should first work for Lokpal and not try and take up the cause of farmers.
Anna Did Nothing For Farmers In Maharashtra, unions claim
Last month, Anna Hazare led a 2 day protest against the Modi Government for making amends to the Land Acquisition Act. He said that the farmers were owners of land and how could those serving the nation while in the government snatch that land from them.
Although the turnout at Anna Hazare’s protest at Jantar Mantar has been indifferent, various leaders lent their support. MDMK leader Vaiko met Anna Hazare at the protest venue to lend support.
Social activist Medha Patkar, CPI leader Atul Anjan, also joined Hazare’s protest. Several farmer unions from across the country also protested with Anna at Jantar Mantar against the government’s land ordinance.
Lashing out against the BJP government, social activist, Anna Hazare, said that in the nine months of the BJP being in power, no step has been taken to fight corruption.
