Bihar Anti-Terrorism Squad Officials to be trained in Gujarat

Patna: The Officials of newly created Anti Terrorism Squad (ATS) of Bihar Police would be trained at Gujarat Forensic Science University, which is first of its kind university in the world.

6 members of ATS would receive training this month at the university located at Gandhi Nagar. They would be trained in explosives and post-blast investigation from experts, according to reports. They would be acquainted with various types of explosives like RDX and Ammonium Nitrate and how they are used in creating bomb blasts. The training is expected to start from March 23.

The Anti Terrorism Squad (ATS) of Bihar has presently 344 members. It was formed after the October 2013 bombing in Patna, in which 6 people died and over 70 got injured.
