Patna: The Hindu Festival of Ram Navami is being celebrated across Bihar with joy and religious fervor. The Festival marks the birth anniversary of Lord Rama.

In Patna, devotees have gathered in huge numbers at the famous Mahavir Mandir. The devotees have been waiting since yesterday night for the auspicious darshan at the temple. The temple has also been decorated beautifully on this occasion.

Several processions and Yatras are being organized across the state. In many parts of Patna, large processions with Rama’s idol are also taken out on Ram Navami, which is celebrated on the ninth day of the Shukla Paksha (moonlit fortnight) of Chaitra, the first month of the Hindu calendar.

Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and Governor Keshari Nath Tripathi have wished the People of State on this occasion. In his message, Kumar said that the festival of Ram Navami holds a special place in our lives. He also said that the life of Lord Rama is an inspiration for the entire mankind.
