Patna: Former Bihar Chief Minister Ram Sundar Das passed away at 95 in Patna on Friday due to age-related problems.

Following the sad demise Bihar government declared two-day mourning in the state. Das was the chief minister of Bihar as head of the Janata Party government in 1979. He is survived by two sons and one daughter.
Das’s funeral will take place tomorrow at Bansghat on the banks of the Ganga River.
Ram Sundar Das was the Chief Minister of Bihar from 21 April 1979 to 17 February, 1980. In 1991, he was elected to Lok Sabha from Hajipur constituency which was repeated in 2009.
