After the Jammu and Kashmir government released from jail Hurriyat Conference leader Masarat Alam, who organised the anti-India protests of 2010 in the Valley that saw the death of 112 people, BJP has started protesting against the move. Even though the party itself is a part of J&K government, protesting BJP youth wing members said they are protesting against the administration.

Separatist leader, Masarat Alam after being released from jail said that he was coming out with the satisfaction that he can work, protest and free Jammu and Kashmir.

National Panthers Party ( NPP) chief Bhim Singh on Sunday said that the party has called for a ‘bandh’ in Jammu following the release of hard-line-faction of Hurriyat, Masarat Alam from Baramulla prison.
