Varanasi: People took to the streets and burnt an effigy of the BBC on Thursday in protest against the documentary titled ‘India’s Daughter’.

Meanwhile, Delhi Police Commissioner BS Bassi had ensured to take steps to stop the broadcast of the documentary.
Earlier, Home Minister Rajnath Singh had informed the Rajya Sabha that he will take all steps necessary to stop the telecast of the documentary on the December 2012 Nirbhaya gang rape case.
The documentary includes an interview of Mukesh Singh, one of the six males convicted for the crime.
